Peterbilt Vocational 320
Durability
Built to Work Hard.
No other truck measures up to the harsh demands of the refuse industry like Peterbilt’s rugged Model 320, a low-cab forward vehicle that is the perfect fit for this challenging application. A huck-bolted aluminum cab features lap seam construction on a zinc-coated steel sub-frame for durability and corrosion resistance. Bulkhead-style doors provide years of virtually watertight performance.
Powertrain Optimization
Fuel-efficient, Reliable and Environmentally Sound.
The Model 320 diesel engine lineup spans from the lightweight, fuel-efficient PACCAR MX-11, available with up to 430 horsepower and 1,550 lb.-ft. of torque, to the powerful Cummins ISX12 with ratings up to 400 horsepower and 1,450 lb-ft. of torque. For natural gas applications, the Model 320 is available with a choice of 9- or 12-liter engines. These spark-ignited engines are capable of running on either Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
Spec'd For The Job
Application-ready Options.
The Model 320 cab is available in left-hand, right-hand and dual drive with right-hand stand-up configurations. An industry-leading, 65-degree cab tilt enhances maintenance and serviceability. The Model 320 offers a full range of axle selections in single, tandem or tri-drive configurations, plus a full complement of tag and pusher axle options and a tandem steer front axle configuration rated at 36,000 pounds. For heavier applications, optional frame liners are available. The battery box is lightweight, compact and fender-mounted to free up valuable frame space.
Interiors
Where Form and Function Meet.
The Model 320’s new interior features an ergonomic dash design with LED backlit gauges, a driver information display for critical vehicle data and rocker switches within easy reach for maximum driver comfort and productivity. A new headliner includes overhead controls for the improved HVAC system while the large center console facilitates easy installation and convenient access to body controls.
Operator Comfort And Productivity
New cab-corner windows and a lowered dash significantly improve overall visibility. A 90-degree door opening with three grab handles on each side and an impact-resistant, bolt-on step provides easy entry and exit.
